Former Skagway resident Dorothy Pike Lawson passed away May 8, 2015 at The Manor in Morrisville from complications of Alzheimer’s.
She was born in Cabot to P. Rudolph and Emma Holmgren Pike. She attended local schools and graduated from Cabot High School in 1944. On December 5, 1946, she married Malcolm Lawson and together they had five sons. They made their home in Hardwick, Morrisville, Wolcott and Skagway, AK, returning to Wolcott in 1980.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 68 years, Malcolm, sons Michael (Myrna) of Cabot, Craig of Skagway, AK, Grant (Valerie) of Skagway, AK, Scott (Patricia) of Apopka, FL, eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, sister Anne Greaves and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by son Kurt, her parents and brother Philip Pike Jr.
At her request there will be no funeral. She will be buried at the Taylor Cemetery in Wolcott later.
