Borough assembly members passed a resolution in support of fewer cuts to public radio.

Assemblyman Spencer Morgan brought the resolution forward after KHNS made the request on Feb. 4.  He said public radio is the only news outlet for many communities.

“While I understand why the state government is having to make significant cuts in some areas versus some other areas, I feel that public radio is something that is essential given the nature of our state,” he said.

The resolution passed unanimously.
