Skagway painter Daniel Papke has been named one of eight artists from around the state who will have solo exhibitions in the Alaska State Museum in Juneau over the next two years.

Papke, who works mainly in oils on large canvases, said he has been informed that his show will be sometime in the fall of 2017.

He was one of 58 artists who submitted portfolios, and eight were selected by the museum’s review committee to set up solo exhibitions between March 2017 and the spring of 2019.
