A report was received regarding two hikers who may be lost. The hikers were last seen earlier in the evening and the reporting party was worried for their safety in the dark. An officer later made contact with the hikers as they were coming back into town.

May 24th

A complaint was received regarding the train car exhibit near City Hall. The information gathered was passed on to an officer.

A traffic complaint was received regarding a commercial vehicle that pulled out into traffic and cut off multiple other vehicles. The information gathered was passed on to an officer, and the business that operates the vehicle was contacted.

A report was received regarding an out of control dog near the municipal dump site. The dog allegedly attempted to attack the reporting party and their dog.

An officer attended a meeting at the school regarding a drug awareness program for the coming school year.

EMS personnel aided a dog bite victim near the Small Boat Harbor.

Fire Department personnel responded to a cigarette fire near the seawalk parking lot.

Dispatch received a report involving a lost child. While in the process of receiving the report the child’s parent arrived at the child’s location.

Garbage was reported to be near the railroad tracks and Pullen Pond. An officer was made aware of the report.

Dispatch assisted a local resident with contacting the On-Duty Provider (ODP).

Luke Allinson, 26 of Skagway, was arrested for Fourth Degree Assault and Resisting Arrest.

Dispatch received a report of a distress signal from the Coast Guard. The distress signal was from a vessel at the Small Boat Harbor. The distress signal was found to have been caused by a low battery.

A woman was reported to have been yelling at vehicles that parked in front of a local business. An officer confronted the woman regarding the situation.

Officers responded to a report of a suspicious male walking down Alaska Street.

A report was received regarding multiple youths damaging a sapling near Molly Walsh Park. An officer responded to the situation and spoke with the youths regarding the incident. The officer reported he would contact the youths’ parents regarding the incident.

May 29th

A lost backpack containing multiple passports was reported to SPD.

A woman begging for money near the Broadway dock was reported. The responding officer was unable to locate the woman.

Dispatch relayed information to the clinic regarding a medical emergency.

A theft was reported to have occurred on board the Ruby Princess.

Dispatch coordinated efforts with Temsco, the Fire Department and White Pass to assist a passenger who had fallen off of the train.
