Skagway Arts Council (SAC) is excited to announce a new event coming to Dedman stage. July 15 marks the inaugural Blues, Brews & BBQ. Eagles F.O.E. Aerie #25 will be running the grill, with SAC tending the beer garden. The event offers a choice of regional beers for attendees 21 and over. On-stage, the music will feature local talent during the day starting at 3 p.m., with the evening headliners playing from 7-11 p.m. Alaska talent Ukulele Russ will be returning to Skagway with the blues, as well as The Blues REVolution band featuring the Reverend Neil Down and Paul Lucas. Headlining the event is nationally known blues artist LLoyd Jones out of Portland, Oregon.
Also in the mix will be a classic car show and the Garden City Market, which will open for business from 3-6 p.m.
Entrance to the event is free, and SMART bus will help provide transportation.

The RAWK camp concert will be at the Dedman Stage Friday, July 14, at 7 p.m. This event showcases the mad rock n’ roll music skills that local students learned during their week at RAWK camp.
Come on out and hear what Skagway’s next generation of musicians can do.
If you have a child that would like to participate in RAWK camp, you have further questions or would like to make a donation to RAWK camp, call Denise Sager at 907-612-1001 or contact msdenisesager@yahoo.
