Artwork is wanted for the Skagway Arts Council’s 10th Annual Spring Show of Winter Artwork. It can be your first attempt at a new craft or something you are experienced creating – Skagway folk would love to see what you have been working on this winter.
All mediums are welcome: Painting on canvas, rocks, furniture, paper, quilts, photography, candles, sewing, musical score, video, stained glass, writing, ceramics, you name it!
Submission forms can be picked up at the AB Hall, Skagway Library and Recreation Center, and are due back at one of those locations by Monday, April 16, so space can be reserved. In the meantime, finish up projects and prepare your work for exhibition.
Artwork drop-off is prior to Friday, April 20, at AB Hall during business hours: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
The Spring Show of Winter Artwork will be Friday, April 20, from 4-7 p.m. and Saturday, April 21, from 11 a.m-4 p.m.

The Skagway Arts Council wants musicians for the 32nd Annual International Folk Festival. Each person or group is allotted a 3-song or 15-minute set (whichever is shorter).
Each act is kept different from the last, so the show is constantly changing.
This is an exciting event that kicks off the spring presenting season for the Skagway Arts Council.
Come see folk from Juneau, Whitehorse and Haines Junction, as well as many Skagway locals! The event is at the Eagles Hall on Friday, April 21, at 7 p.m.
To perform or for more information call Donna Griffard at (907) 983-3222.
