Skagway Arts Council’s annual membership meeting will be held Saturday, Sept. 14 with the time and location to be determined.  This is a great time to update or start a membership.  Your membership dues help support the arts council in its mission to bring quality entertainment to Skagway.  Membership also gives you the added benefit of discounts on events during the upcoming year.

At our short meeting, financial statements will be available, along with news of upcoming events and an election of board members.  If you have suggestions or concerns you would like to voice, this is a good time to do so.  We are also looking for new board members to help plan future events.  This is a great time to throw your name into the hat.

Following the meeting we have a treat for you:

Queens, of Juneau, is a primarily an a cappella group featuring over a dozen female vocalists. Their repertoire ranges from choral to folk to Beyonce.  After four years of participating in the Alaska Folk Festival, they are ecstatic to bring their powerful harmonies to Skagway for one night of magic.  Find them on Facebook at Queens of Juneau, Alaska.

Time, place, new membership dues and concert ticket price will be announced in the next Skagway News and on flyers around town.  Mark your calendars for this great event.
