KHNS says thanks for fund drive

Dear Skagway listeners, members, donors  and friends, thanks to everyone for a rollicking good time during the recent KHNS fund drive.

We met our goal of $75,000 during the drive and raised $10,000 from the KHNS At Your Services auction hosted by the Red Onion.

It simply would not have been possible without the hard work of KHNS Skagway directors Deb Potter, Reba Hylton, Dustin Stone, bi-fjordal director Dustin Craney and volunteer Lisa Hollander.

All of the businesses that gave generously with challenge grants, adventure packages, silent-auction items, lodging, food and donations number so many that I dare not list them for fear of forgetting someone. But I can’t not mention that ukulele-playing guy at White Pass who has become a staple of Friday afternoon fund drive hilarity and a special shout out to Steph Larson who donated possibly the finest peanut butter chocolate cake to grace the airwaves.

It was a big success, a darn good time and what makes Skagway such an amazing place. Thank you

Kay Clements
