After extending public testimony and hours of public meetings, the Alaska Redistricting Board has settled on their final map.

On Nov. 9 the board determined senate pairings, determined which districts would have truncated terms due to changes in the “core constituency” and adopted an election cycle for senate seats.

As of deadline, the board planned to meet Nov. 10 to adopt the Final Proclamation of Redistricting and sign the Final Proclamation.

Skagway is in the new district 3-B.

The map can be viewed, and comments can be submitted, on the Alaska Redistricting Board website at: www.akredistrict.org/maps.
