Officers were requested to perform a welfare check on a citizen.
They were found to be fine.

Dispatch assisted in contacting the on-duty provider twice.
Feb. 16
Dispatch was contacted about a possible 911 service disruption. Services were soon restored.
A caller reported an open door in a seasonal housing unit. Police went out to investigate and found no concern.
Fire personnel responded to an EWS fire alarm. It was found to be false.
Dispatch assisted citizens with contacting the on-duty provider three times.
Feb. 18
A caller reported their fuel tank had cracked and about 25 gallons of fuel had spilled out on the ground and the Street. Public Works and the DEC were contacted for further assistance.

A caller reported losing a rake and shovel out of the back of their truck on Dyea Road.

Police responded to a vehicle lockout.
Feb. 21
Fire personnel responded to reports of a propane smell in town. No smell could be observed upon arrival.
A caller stated they saw flames and heavy smoke coming from the incinerator’s chimney. Police observation found the smoke to be unusually bad, so Public Works was notified.

Dispatch assisted in contacting the on-duty provider twice.
Feb. 24
EMS personnel responded to a medical emergency.
911 was pocket dialed once.
EMS personnel assisted with a medevac.
A caller reported they lost a set of keys.

Dispatch assisted in contacting the on-duty provider.
Police responded to a tip that a bear was possibly seen in town near 19th and Alaska. No bear was found.
Feb. 26
Police responded to a vehicle lockout.
Feb. 27
Dispatch received an AT&T recording stating there may be 911 impairment or disruption on February 28.
Feb. 28
AT&T internet interruptions and outages were reported. Dispatch sent out a Nixle message, which was shared with the Facebook Skagway Swap group.
March 1
Fire personnel responded to fire and sprinkler alarms at a downtown business. The alarms were found to have been set off by leaking sprinklers.
Dispatch and officer assisted in contacting the on-duty provider.
March 2
Fire personnel responded to an EWS fire alarm in the downtown area. It was found to be false.
March 3
AP&T has started utility work on State Street, which will continue throughout the week. A Nixle and Facebook Swap message was shared to the community.
March 4
Fire personnel responded to an EWS Fire alarm and confirmed it was a false alarm set off by a pull station.
March 5
Canada Department of Transportation reports the highway will remain closed for avalanche mitigation through late morning.
DOT reported the Klondike Highway was open.
